Ethan is Nalas best Friend. He is a person which everybody would get along with (friendly). he is normally co-existing with Nala and Jules, the three of them do not fit in. He is really smart and usually pass all his exams.
Jules is also Nalas best friend, she might be stereotypical because she dress in a Gothic way. However that is only her persona and the fact that she does not fit in to the stereotypical group Gothics, show us that she is much different then anybody else. In the high school she is an outcast because she is different most people find her wired.Nala, Jules and Ethan are not in a typical high school clique, they just hang around as a three and do not associate them self's with others. Nala and her Friend do not like tiring to fit in with other groups because they feel if the find a group to join they would have to change them selves. they are all different and do not want to change themselves.

For my film i have specifically chosen the charcaters and there personalities to fit well with unstereotypical way charcaters are chosen .i have noticed that most leading women in teen romance /paranormal romance films are very typical ,(the girl is shy ,quiet and unknowing) however my chracters that me and my group have decided upon ,have something more different about .
I feel that Malece's character is not in steriotyped group in society ,he is more of an (alone person) since being awoken he is mainly concerned with helping Nala see the extenct of her gift ,and how they are linked together through history.
In the film the poetry read between Nala and Malece is an iconic part of the film as the first two minuets of the film contain it .Nala ,as first explained is prophetess ,whom can write poetry ,that has meanings to awaken Malece ,of his 5000 year sleep ,he was present in 47BC ,when cleaopatra reigned in eygpt ,the year of spirits dynasty .
He is a spirit of night ,and this alone spepretaes him from the rest of world ,the quote i made for his descriptian ,is 'an anceint man ,in a mordern world '.
History of Fantasy films - By Muna Hussein
Fantasy films are films with fantastic themes, usually involving magic, supernatural events, make-believe creatures, or exotic fantasy worlds. The genre is considered to be similar to science fiction film and horror film, although the genres do mix. Fantasy films often have an element of magic, myth, wonder, escapism, and the extraordinary things.In fantasy films, the hero often goes through some kind of mystical challenge and must ask for help from powerful, superhuman forces.
Ancient Greek mythological figures or Arabian Nights-type narratives are the typical stories used in fantasy films. Flying carpets, magic swords and spells, dragons, and ancient religious relics or objects are common equipment used. Bizarre and imaginary, invented lands include sci-fi worlds, fairy tale settings or other whimsical locales are common settings.Usually, the main characters in fantasies are princes or princesses.
Some fantasy-type films might also include supernatural characters such as angels, lesser gods, fairies or in the case of live action and animation cartoon characters. Also they may include gnomes, dwarves and elves. Strange extraordinary and incredible characters like monstrous characters that are cunning or evil spirits or magicians and sorcerers are put into fantasy films, and often mixed with supernatural films.
Fantasy films are most likely to overlap with the film genres of science fiction and horror. When the narrative of a fantasy film tends to show advanced technology in a fantastic world, it may be considered to be future for example like a science fiction film. Or when the supernatural/fantasy forces are specifically intended to frighten the audience, a fantasy film shows more within the horror genre.

Yasmin's Role
- Director:The director is the head of the production unit and is responsible for directing the actors and for translating the teleplay into cinematic images in accordance with his/her vision. Not only must they establish a good relationship with their actors, they must also understand all technical issues regarding television.
- Show Runner:A writing executive producer who is in charge of the creative direction of a show. This person hires the writing team, signs off on all aspects of the storylines and scripts, and signs off all decisions regarding the look of the show; including wardrobe, set dressing, props and art direction.
Aisha's Role
- Production Designer:Individual works closely with producers and director to determine how they see the show, and by choice of colors, textures, and materials determines the overall "look" and contributes to the emotional tone of the show. The Production Designer supervises the search of locations, designs sets, oversees the drawing up of blue prints and the building and dressing of all sets. Basically in charge of all crops and sound affects.
- Unit Production Manager/UPM:The UPM is hired by the producer to coordinate and supervise all administrative, financial, and technical details of television production. This individual assists the producer in hiring the crew and makes all the first contacts for dates, locations, and fees. During production, he or she approves changes in scheduling and the budget, serves as intermediary between the producer/management and crew, and oversees the activities of the entire crew.
Muna's Role
- Producer:A producer is hired by both the Executive Producer and the Studio. This person is the liaison between these two entities. They are responsible for all financial aspects of the television show. They are also very instrumental in hiring and managing all below-the-line crew members. It is their responsibility for keeping the show on budget.
- Production Coordinator:This person is responsible for setting up and organizing the production and writer offices; acts as liaison between the production office and the set, and prioritizing information for expeditious handling the producer and production manager and/or associate producer.
Everyone must take part in
- Camera Operator:Operates the camera and is responsible to the DP for composition, focus, camera movement, and anything that comes within the domain of photography.
- Gaffer:Individual responsible to the DP for all lighting set ups and procedures on a production. Works closely with the DP and Key Grip in the selection, placement, and desired level and balance of the lighting on a set or location.
- Sound Mixer:Responsible to the director for recording and production sound, and for the quality of the mixed and recorded sound during production. He or she operates the mixing console, recorded and associated equipment.
- Editor:Person who selects and assembles the footage to create a story progression in accordance with the director's vision. The editor works closely with the director in viewing dailies to determine what takes are best used to tell the story.
- Composer:The Composer composes the music score for the production in order to heighten and intensify the emotional tone of the tv show.

Is a famous director which produce the film twilight which has become a international world sell of. She started her film career in the 1990. The majority of her films paranormal romance, fantasy genre.
The reason why we have chosen this director is because Catherine's vision of work really connects with our ideal film choice.As a group we are aiming to make a path towards this sort of movie ethic. she interests us because of the way the setting and camera is manipulated to form a unique erie tone to the international known movie.

This film centers around the genre is paranormal thriller/mystery.the film is about a young woman desperate to seek out some information about her ancient Egyptian an ,she is told by her grandmother that she has the gift of ancestry writing prophetic poetry ,she is a high school Senior at black woods high and knowing this part of her life hidden for so long she decides to take a trip to her ancient lands tribal area,one of the few people left of Cleopatra's era that still hold the information to unlock more secrets of nala's gift.
The characters will have different particular aspects about them for instance
Nala :Has long black hair and olive skin (she doesn't need to have this in the actual film )
Ethan :will be an ordinary boy,who will just have average looking style and manner about him (nothing specific towards actual character description above
Malece :The second main character will have dark black hair ,and will have tanned skin .
the preliminary exercise me and my group has come across many problems with camera work and positioning but we learnt from are mistakes .we decide to experiment with camera angles ,like when we were filming the main character ,we didn't film from sides but from behind and below ,because we wanted to give it the effect of an angry person ,whom didn't want to show the face because in the preliminary we filmed two girls having argument .we had some difficulty with not breaking the 180 degree rule but we ended up learning and analysing what best way to capture an argument.i believe if we had done more different captures that the preliminary exercise would be much different .

what is the film about ? who does it involve ?
This film centers around the genre is paranormal thriller/mystery.the film is about a young woman desperate to seek out some information about her ancient Egyptian an ,she is told by her grandmother that she has the gift of ancestry writing prophetic poetry ,she is a high school Senior at black woods high and knowing this part of her life hidden for so long she decides to take a trip to her ancient lands tribal area,one of the few people left of Cleopatra's era that still hold the information to unlock more secrets of nala's gift.
The film is set in Michigan and Nala ,the main character is currently living with her mother ,as her father died of cancer when she was 2 years old .living in a normal state with her mother,having her three best friends by her side and her cat ethani to keep her sane ;it isn't enough for the truth seeking girl.She finds her self waking up at 3:10 every night and blindly writing extracts of scrolls and ancient poetry she has never seen nor heard of ,this causes lots of waking problems for her grandmother ,who has heard from nala's mother about her ,she believes that the time has finally arrived ,every 500 yrs there awakens the Egyptian spirit of night ,who is notorious for his human female consorts ,usually picked from the clan of the Cleopatra era ,the era of forbidden love .Nala, one night raining night decided to record what she writes and finds herself reading out the verse of one love poem written to a selected female consort ,being prophetess of poetry ,she is chosen and the Egyptian spirit of night has begun his process of coming in to the human form he once was millions of years ago.
(Egyptian spirits are some times the guardians/ the chamber holders of the night)
The films setting is dark and gloomy ,this brings a sense of comfort and belonging to the tone of the movie which is light but edgy and mysterious romance .The girl See's this ancient spirit in her dreams and visions but cant quite put her finger on who he is or if she has seen him ,then one evening ,upon staying over her grandmothers house she tells her about what she has seen in her dreams and vision ,her grandmother whom astonished looks up on her ancient Egyptian books and shows nala the image of this mysterious man .her grandmother gives her advice to stay clear of him if he should be granted life form again ,but nala insists on finding out more of him and her prophetic poetry that has awoken him .
While she is on this journey of truth ,her friends Ethan and Jules assist her on finding out more and more of this life turning information brought upon three teenagers of Blake woods high .

story board : the exercise is about two students getting into an argument about a piece of essay they were writing .the first student (in the green scarf )throws the paper and walks off in frustration .in the next few clips we then view her walking into a sort of trap,were we do a double camera effect to show her face in worry and then the other student come from a distance (long shot).
roles in the film : Yasmin is the actress and Aisha also is ,they both participated in the editing and mona was the camera person in the exercise .we all contributed to the making in the film and it gave us an idea of how it would be in the real making of the film .
